The process of formation, in our Institute, according to the dictates of the Ratio Formationis, begins with the Postulate and is followed by the Novitiate and the Younger: stages in a journey that, gradually, raise the young woman's awareness about the project of God in her life so as to prepare to seal it with the religious profession, the covenant with the Lord, the Giver of all good.
In the Postulat, we accompany the young women until their vocational experience gains a deeper meaning e they get a clearer knowledge on the Institute, with the spirit of constant searching that defined Marianna Caiani: Jesus, make it be that the more I know you, the more I love you.
Novitiate is the time for the young, for their full initiation to the consecrated life, which means time for learning and experimentation of the following of Christ through the evangelical counsels of chastity, poverty and obedience, as well as in a fellowship of a life of humility, shown through charity, simplicity and “Franciscan” joy. At the end of the Novitiate period, the young women make their profession of religion.
The time of the “Younger” that, in our institute lasts at least five years, is the time when young nuns, through a diverse curriculum, are helped to gradually mature the decision to forever embrace the lifestyle of Min Sisters of the Sacred Heart, in order to fully live their covenant that God made with each, according to the Rule of the Third Order Regular of St. Francis of Assisi and the Constitutions of the Institute.
The “Younger” period terminates with the “Perpetua” Profession.
Prior to all this, a mutual understanding is necessary. For this reason all our communities are available to those young people, moved by the Holy Spirit, who are interested in discerning and confronting themselves with the charisma of the Min. Sisters of the Sacred Heart, Franciscan.
