“The current of my love for mankind, flows only through God’s heart. To have mankind, first I must have God.”
The “Minimum” being, for Mother Caiani, is born through contemplation and living the experience of God’s merciful love, made visible in Christ’s crucifixion.
Marianna contemplated Jesus’ crucifixion as the icon of total adhesion to God’s will and to free donation to one’s brothers. She was taken over by the innerness of the Savior, felt it as if it was hers and desired to immerse herself in it. All her being and her acts started from the contemplation of Christ’s heart: it’s a contemplation that generates actions, service towards all mankind, “from the crib to the tomb.”
Christ, loved and prayed to in front of the tabernacle, lying on the ground during the nocturnal vigils, is the same Christ to love and serve in the faces of one’s brothers. Mother Caiani is the woman of “action through contemplation”; from which spiritual healing is born.
Healing is understood as helping with the poor, taking action in the history of mankind, in prayer and in silence, like one who takes care of Jesus’ wounds that are present in all of man’s suffering throughout the world.
